Finland Finland, your calling to me like a choir that sings harmony Finland, Suomi where my heart lies far across the sea Sleep baby sleep away in your city by the sea where the Baltic laps the shores of Helsinki where dreams are made and I believe those dreams they can come true you told me that you love me and I fell in love with you Dream baby dream of snow tipped pines beneath the Arctic stars where northern lights they dance upon your lakes so smooth and calm on long cold Winter nights we'll keep each other snug and warm we'll lie in each others arms until the break of dawn Wake baby wake in a wonderland where wolf and reindeer roam and in the blue twighlight we'll rise where nature has her home the green gold of the forest as the Winter turns to Spring upon the Lapland skyline there are snow geese on the wing Fly baby fly to warmer climes when South Karelias free and we shall celebrate a great Finnish history the midnight sun will shine across a wild wilderness the bear thats in the east shall find a new friend in the west Finland, your calling to me like a choir that sings harmony Finland, Suomi where my heart lies far across the sea Copyright: Stuart Logan
Reason for writing:
Its in you heart, beneath your sky
and its out in the wild
from mother to daughter
in your home since you were a child
and Finnish Lady
I love you because
there's more than beauty within your soul
