Feeling the dirt run through your small hands, bulding large sand castles in the sand. Taking your food and making a mess, arguing with mom about what you like best. Wanting to go to the park down the street, wanting only junk food for dinner to eat. Bringing small animals in the house, hiding them in your pocket and not saying a sound. Getting your toys, and taking a bath, getting water all over the floor and making it last. Arguing with dad that you can get dressed by yourself, and that you're a big boy now, but not much else. Scissors that you find are bright, shiny and new, so you decide to use them on your hair, and add a little glue. Your gooey hands from touching a slug was wiped all over mom when you last gave her a hug. Taking your cat a grabbing it by the tail, and swinging it around and hearing it yell. Going to sleep in your new, warm bed, but ended up going in mom's just because, instead. Dad says that you have a wild imagination, but you nodd your head with a smile on your face, only with a big heart and a touch of grace. The years that move on, these times will always be remembered, and the love my parents showed to me will be with me forever.
Reason for writing:
It reminds me of my 8 year old bro, and even though it talks about a boy, I did a lot of the same stuff. I was a tom boy when i was little.
