So,
when it’s late at night
(say, around 12:00 or 12:30),
I sometimes like to sneak
into the kitchen
and drink milk straight from the carton.
<i>"You shouldn't do that,"
Mother said.
"You'll get no dinner
And be sent to bed!"</i>
It's really quite liberating,
if you think about it.
And the thought of my sister
pouring that very same milk into her cereal
the next morning--
completely unaware of what happens late at night
(say, around 12:00 or 12:30)--
really floats my boat.
<i>"You're spreading germs;
You're spreading disease!
Don't drink milk
From the carton, please!"</i>
Of course,
some people choose to rebel against society
in a more political way:
protests, strikes, boycotts, etc.
<i>"Dear Lord above:
The world's coming to an end!
Bronwen drank milk
From the carton again!"</i>
But I
really like milk.
And I'm
too lazy to get a glass.
I guess it just works out.
Here's hopin' no one in my family reads this poem.
<i>"You drink milk from the carton?
None of us knew!
So, when we're asleep,
<b>That's</b> what you do.
Stop it. It's gross."</i>
Ha!
Reason for writing:
Try it when no one's looking! It's fun!
