CONQUERING DEPRESSION

by Samantha Lowe - Scorpio

Reflections of self-doubt mirror back through questioning eyes
Lost depths of hope and love
Burned by the hatred of one’s sin

The river of hopelessness recedes the crushing shore of lost thought
Controlling the web of confusion…
Of hidden desire
And plays the heart and mind into a Ferris wheel of ideas
Masking all unseen

How do I find the way through this maze of life?
The many twists of self-denial
Self-inflicted lies
Help me through this critic life
Forced upon me by other’s eyes
And tell me that it’s normal to have to cry.
