Planet Earth

by Stuart Logan - Sagittarius

Planet Earth

There was a time, when rivers and streams
flowed without pain
dreams of clear rain
across all of the world

Good were those times, and nice were those days
forests and mountains, as nature portrayed
shimmering sunlight, on pure virgin birth
before the massacre, of our planet Earth

Chernobyl came soon, and what have we done
cut down the trees
the deep blue seas
we've all overun

Power of the waves, we dont utilize
nature is raped
chastised for the sake
of the greed of mankind

Tests are successful
but with corporate stealth
knocked on the head
for fear of the wealth
being taken away from the few
