Father, please forgive me when I'm down and feeling blue
You know the days when I live my life alone and without You
I never seem to see it coming, I just wake up with a frown
The day never seems to get better and everything gets me down
I'm not sure how I got here, I was on a mountain just last week
But the devils got a hold on me and this flesh of mine is weak
Fill me with Thy spirit Lord, make the evil one go away
Renew my strength and armor, forgive me now I pray
I need Your strength and wisdom for the battles I'll face today
Some how I've let my guard down and satan has found a way
To keep me from Your word and taking time to kneel to pray
But my eyes have now been opened to see the evil of his way
He tries his best to get to me, at times I'm too blind to see
But I know that he will run away, when I get down on my knees
Father please forgive me when I'm down and feeling blue
Help me Lord to focus and to keep my eyes on You
