Through verdurous forests, there weaves a path sublime That leads to fields where no soul walks Unblemished, lives the sweet brier eglandtine And though birds sing, no person talks Beyond this heavenly enchanted bower Lies the foot of a hill, and upon its peak Lives one who, like in an ivory tower Neither dares nor cares to live or speak I have glimpsed her sitting by her window sill The girl who lives on Heather Hill All who live nearby know well her tale Though rarely does she leave her door And most of them will gladly regale Of how her beloved was sent to war Five years of happiness they had quietly spent And so it stayed, until the day they learned He was needed to fight, and without consent She was forced to wait for his return Although he didn't come back, there's still a chance he will To the one he left on Heather Hill And so she lives, waiting for his call Though no news or message has yet been sent Some say she hasn't aged at all Since the day he packed his bags and went Hollow souls laugh at her foolish heart But the hope of love gives the moon its glow And though happiness has been torn apart Her tears, they make the rivers flow Sometimes I see her, waiting for him still In that lonely house on Heather HillBirth sign: Aquarius
