So today is the big day, I've done everything I could to make you stay, But for some reason, you are content with going away, I've tried to treat you right, But still you prefer to take flight, What have i done to you, to make your heart turn to stone, I've opened my soul dearly, and sincerly, but the way you treat me is wrong, I'm trying to be strong, And I accept defeat gracefully, Love oh sweet love, Why must you make a fool out of me? I've laid on the floor, I've stood to stare you in the eye, and whenever you went away, I showed you that I need you, because I stand there and cry, I've opened my soul to you, But still you laugh at me, I'm broken can't you see?
