Someone once told me Hope will never Leave your side Someone said "Don't give it up, Cause once you do You don't have anything" Well hope can kill you Or set you free. All in one night I have seen Just how both feel They made me believe I would get the one thing I ever asked for But then as we Went to a place Where people watched, My every move She told me On second thought, No. No, you don't get to see him No, I won't let you No, I ain't giving them Any reason to hurry on Your birthday. You will do as I say Not even tell them About the baseball game on Your birthday But what I will do Is buy you anything You could want But I won't let you go Up to the river school And see him that day The tears filled my eyes But I held them in Cause i know She doesn't want me to "Make a scene" So I sit there Not thinking of the promise Of getting my one wish I wait til I get home To cry out, How could you let them Get all your hopes up. You said you wouldn't Believe them, But look at you now Crying under a bush Looking at the road To see if he goes by Someone told me Hope floats Well it better Cause my tears are flowing Don't let it go, Cause then you'll have nothing Don't worry I can't let hope go. I have never done it before I'm not about to start now Just why, Did she have to have A second though.
Reason for writing:
Well I have to go to down to my Gramma's the week of my birthday and while I am happy to see them, James has a game on my birthday. My mom had said we could make it, but then last night she had a second thought. Why did she have to have a second thought.
