Where Does The Time Go?

by Charles Mathew Tyner III - Scorpio

Where does the time go when we've been one for so long?
When we have shared a love that remained strong?
How many times have I seen sunsets glisten off of your eyes?
Times when we've made love under the stars at night?
This is a question where the answer is need to know.
Can you tell me, where does the time go?

Where does the time go when I was no longer from Mars?
Where does it go when I always see your face in the stars?
Where does the time go when you will always have my heart?
The many times I've told you I never want to be apart?
This is a question where the answer is need to know.
Can you tell me, where does the time go?

Where does the time go when being with you felt it would last eternally?
Time has no meaning when I have you and you are with me.
Where does the time go when I crave the caress of your hair?
Times where, for you, I've gone everywhere.
This is a question where the answer is need to know.
Can you tell me, where does the time go?

Where does the time go when I saw you walk out my door?
The length of forevers' time seemed a little more?
Where does it go when I crave our last kiss?
I'm telling you now that it's you that I miss.
This is a question where the answer is need to know.
Can you tell, why'd you have to go?
And is there any way I can have you back?

Reason for writing:

Break ups are hard, I'm proof.
