Piece by piece I'm losing you, 
Yes, a small piece at a time. 

Bit by bit you're slipping away, 
A tiny bit at a time. 

And little by little I'm falling, 
Oh, a little at a time. 

Inch by inch you'll come back, 
An inch at a time. 

But by and by you'll not find me, 
For by and by I'm gone.
