I'll Save A Seat

by slm - Libra

Reflecting through the memories of my past
Moments lost in time but the memories still last
A dear friend from my youth that I seldom see
Yet a kinship between us, there will always be

He journeys to places that I have never been
Guided by the voice that speaks in the wind
A free spirit indeed and a true mountain man
The kinship between us, only we understand

We walked the same trail but it came to an end
Many miles between us, but I still call him friend
The wind blows between us and we each hear a voice
Yet the paths we now travel is of our own choice

Reflecting through the memories of my past
Moments lost in time but the memories still last
A dear friend through this life that I seldom see
I'll save a seat in heaven, so he can sit by me
