You came too late

by Kelly Hamrick - Gemini

Why did you have to come back?
I was doing fine without talking to you.
What were your intentions when you approached me,
and told me that you were mad.
Mad at me for not keeping you safe,
and mad at your parents for invading your space.
What am I suppose to do?
You have come to late for me to save you like I used to.
Don’t come running to this spot anymore.
I have realized that you aren’t what I thought you were.
You used me as your enabler, to get you through,
and I don’t like being used as your excuse.
I’m not going to let you choose,
you can’t have my friendship,
you have come to late.
I’m sick of being your open space.
Why did you use me for your fun,
when you knew you were destroying me all along.
I knew that this would all fall down,
and I’m sorry to say
our friendship is through.
I tried too long and now its time for me.
You think you can save what we had,
but this friendship wasn’t my fate,
and I’m sorry to say, you came too late.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this because today i saw my best friend who i thought i would never see again, and i was so sad about the fact that i would never see her again, and then when I DID see her....i wished she would just go away, because i realized that everything she had done to me was ruining me, and well...its just a long story!
