If I could pick some flowers I would tie them with a bow I'd only pick the perfect ones That bloomed within the snow You deserve the very best for others just won't do An Angel told me where to find the perfect flower for you It's red, with a golden trim as perfect as can be Just like the love I have for you that lives inside of me If I could give you flowers they would last through all the years They'd bloom until forever as long as you are near
Reason for writing:
My mother was very ill with cancer. She loved wild flowers.
I couldn't give her wildflowers in January. She inspired this poem which I gave to her instead.
She went to live in heaven February 13, 2000.
Dedicated to a wonderful Mom: Joanne McGan
