We’ve followed each other throughout the years Even though we’ve only really met about a year ago I was the geek The shy, timid girl that would never be spoken to Yet had always dreamed that someday Things would be better You were the ‘in’ crowd People whom I had hoped to be a part of Someday Some perfect day… I came back one day From a long vacation Stronger than ever Leaving the old me behind I opened up Spoke my opinion Fought when you would push me down You noticed something had changed Something had happened Something that you had never seen before And somebody you had never met You let me in Gave me a chance Laughed with me Instead of at me Called me up to talk Instead of leading pranks And you showed me what it was like to be like you To be in the ‘in’ crowd To be noticed Then something else happened Something you weren’t prepared for Something you had never seen A young girl Found Spreading her wings Detaching from society Detaching from life Becoming the loner The one who everyone respects And comes to for guidance For love For friendship And I have found The beauty of knowing who I really am The truth of who I will be And where I’m going I have found Happiness.Birth sign: Scorpio
