SIBLING RIVALRY

by Samantha Lowe - Scorpio

It’s been 13 years
That all of us have been together
Brothers and sister
Just us three
We’ve played pranks
Been smart asses
Put our parents through hell
Didn’t we have fun?
4 years were spent, just us two
Hiking the woods with our cousins
Climbing trees
Watching He-man
Hugging each other whenever we had the chance
Then came the little one
The one with all the laughs
All the girls
You taught us how to have fun
How to play pranks
In came baseball
Kick the can
And hockey
I can still tackle you to the ground
Tickle you till you cry
Then came the fights
The goofy arguments we’ve had
The ones where we’d make fun
Make jokes about the other
One would storm out
But laugh at what the other said about them
We’ve never been serious have we?
But did I ever tell you that I love you?
Both of you
Honestly and true
Have I ever thanked you for all the things you’ve done?
Throughout the years
And for the years to come
You guys mean the world to me
I love you.

Reason for writing:

My two brothers (I'm the middle child. The only girl in the family besides my mom) are the best in the world. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
