My Prince

I lie alone in the darkness
Blocking out the world
No one is there to hold me
No one is there to love me
No one is there to tell me its okay
I lie there in the darkness wishing for someone to come
I wish my prince would come
On a black stallion
To take me awawy forever
He will protect me 
He will love me
He will hold me and tell me its okay
As I lie alone in the darkness
i block out the world
Knowing my prince will not come

Reason for writing:

    I wrote this poem at a time when I thought that I was unloveable and in a deep depression.  I still have a hard time with love, and am still looking for my prince, but I am begining to come out of the darkness.
