Life ? What is life ?, A question sought by most people , An experience shared by many humans , These experiences will differ , Certain aspects though will be similar , Life is a rollercoster of emotions , It is filled with happiness , Yet the heart will also be struck with sadness , Your heart so powerful , Yet so fragile , Is bound to be hurt , By someone or something , Life is full of challenges , Never so scarce of struggles , There can be pleasure , But not without pain , You'll have friends whom you love , Not without having enemies whom you dislike , You will have your successes , Balanced with some of your failures , There will always be a hard nut to crack , You have to beat about the bush to crack it , Finally you will surcome to death , By life's most powerful tool , Time , This is life .
Reason for writing:
I had a period of suffering once . Especially one year before my school leaving certificate exams here in Ireland. When i said suffering , i meant nothing was working out for me . My grades were going down because of some people who caused me pain in school . Even my social life was down the drain . I did not know what to do . I did not know how to fix this problem . I was happy before but now i was sad . So when I wrote this poem ,it was about how my life changed within a short period . My happiness was gone . My successes were gone and my failures in my grades happened .The friends in the school i was in were not exactly what u called friends . They made jokes that were personal about my skin colour my religion my country . That is why i was sad . Don't get me wrong , I love Ireland and there are lots of good generous people .Only the school i went to in portlaoise had some rotten apples . I had one more year to my important exams . Luckily my parents got jobs in a different city amd i had to go to a different school ! Thanks to God ! Everything changed again . My happiness came back , i had good friends and i struggled to get my grades to a high before the exam . Now only this year in June after finishing my exams i was really happy . I did good .But most importantly I overcame a challenge . So this poem conveys across the downside and goodside of life . There will always be a downside . This poem is to encourage all those people with problems out there , don't give up ! Fight it ! And you will win , i did ! Take care all! What do u think of the poem ?
