Daddy's Keys

by FireFly - Libra

You sink your teeth in it-
But theirs nothing to eat-
You search thru the canvas-
But thiers nothing to grasp-

You side-step this fate-
if you had the vision-
to see another certain future-
but you grab the keys-
and tell daddy please-
I wanna drive the car-

Had this ever occured-
You saw a perfect reason-
To let this all go-
but something held you back-
maybe the insecurites-
maybe you'd never find your way back home-

Close your eyes-
Take a deep breath-
This is your only life-
And it may be sad-
But the strings that held you up-
Can be the same ones-
That hold you back-

You sink your teeth in it-
But theirs nothing to eat-
You search your life-
But thiers nothing to grasp-

If it burns in you-
Its a flame rising to take notice-
Your eyes maybe fixated-
But your gut is turning you upside down-

Something in you-
is telling you-
To come up for air-

Don't be scared-
Don't be scared-
