New Moon

by Mela - Libra

Lying Beneath
the moon as it rose,
Wrapped in a sheet
so that nothing shows

Birds flew all around me
and the wind blew my hair
a cool summer breeze
was brewing in the air

And the ocean crashed around me
washing my moon lit soul
laying beneath the sea
was a new moon all it's own

with a sea blue, and black sky
covering the fields
a garden of flowing time
securing the flowers that it shields

In a city down below
the lights shine all around
The mask of night covering slow
So that her eyes can not be found

Lying beneath
the sea as it flowed
drifiting down deep
As the new moon rose.

Reason for writing:

Sometimes I like to think of the ocean in it's most romantic setting and for me that is at night. It seems as though the way the moon dances off the water that there are so many magical things really going on. It is a silent passion love that always goes unseen under the cover of night.
