My friend, The subtle electric fires within me Still dance in the night Memories, those pieces of memory Continue to parade, throughout my mind No sullen surprise should you feel How can something worth remembering be a surprise Rather, fate was unkind Setting you free into the ocean Your currents flow weakly back to my shores The echo's of you, calling into the still air A muse, singing a song which time would not forget The greatest rivers cannot separate The lands o're which we have travelled Patiently, we must wait for time For our voyages are not yet complete Our days are not yet over Each act requires the rise of the curtain Our time cautiously grows nearer Our performances yet to be played Our finest hour yet to be lived
