You are like a flame You hypnotise me yet Burn when I try to touch. The thought of you consumes me Ravages my mind And leaves me barren and smouldering. I need to forget your warmth And your bright shine. I cannot control you. I was never the water that calmed you, But the earth that fuelled. We two are creatures of coexistence, But I will survive Even without the idea of you.
Reason for writing:
Split up with boyfriend (dull, dull, dull) I seem only to be able to write when something really moves me, because usually I do it because it's cathartic. Comments and constructive criticism are VERY welcome.
