So dark cold and scary I shook from head to toe I held onto your arm As our legs began to go. Not sure of how I’d feel Not sure of what I’d see But I felt very safe As you walked along with me. A very strange experience Hell looked me in the eye I am very grateful You held me when I cried. I was so relieved to hear your voice I no longer felt alone I knew that you were with me I could tell just from your tone. Thanks for coming on my journey And helping me through the pain I feel as though I have moved In to sunshine from the rain.
Reason for writing:
This poem was to say a big thank you to a person who walked along side me through the tunnel of pain. Im not sure how many tunnels of pain there are but I would like to say thank you for guiding me through the one that you did. Thank you Tony.
