Deprived Society Of Nature

by JulietII - Sagittarius

Freedom liberates…

When the reverberating wind-
Bows beneath the sea,
Slipping past the essence of time-

When the grains of sand on a beach-
Can be counted,
And leave no remembrance of who's feet,
Gently caressed its washed floors-

When the last leaf-
On every tree,
Big and small,
Has fallen and withered-
Remaining only the harsh echo,
Of the demolished soul-

When every color-
On a rainbows end,
Loses it's grip and crashed to earth,
Creating a picture of one love-

When the sun,
Weary of it's strength-
Flickers once,
Only to give up and burn out-

When the powers that captivate us to this earth,
Release us from their bonds-

When the last words we speak-
Are those of ones we love,
And the ones we remember-

When all life-
Refuses to get up,
And fight back one more…

It is then, and only then, we will know what we are here for…
For the eye can not measure,
The value of difference we make

Reason for writing:

This poem came to me in a dream, I wrote it the way I saw it, and added a few things 'till it was the way I wanted it.
