snared

by Heather - Taurus

dust builds up again/
so thick underneath this lucid frame/
seemed like centuries ago/
when your cloth erased my pain/
linger in this flame/
purity burning out desires/
oh, but flesh folds faster/
yes, this skin will tremble under

cages made up of alligater wire/
clenching deep into my bones/
caught here between time and traveling/
cruelty replacing the unknown/
may the music of bitterness and/
repression not hold us down/
the city smog spells fury/
wings of urgency begging/
to grow and leave this town/ when

forever feels like such an eternity/
because bliss wont blacken our blue/
this tawny hide/
can't take the beating/
scars thickened and dripping against you/
lets skip the generalities/
paste faces upon our miseries/
  and free-fall...

Reason for writing:

just stream-of-consciousness writing about being stuck in one place and wanting so badly to move onto another...i was playing with language and rhyme, so dont read too deeply into it! :)
