There was a time when I’d jump out of bed and hurry through my day. A time when I knew being with you was just a few short hours away. As I think about you, my heart begins to race. I just close my eyes to see your handsome face. There’s nothing in this world that I wouldn’t do. You’re so special to me, I only want you. I’d follow you to Paris or any place at all. I’d be by your side, all you need to do is call. I’d walk with you to the lake and along it’s sandy shore. I’d write you lots of poems and leave them at your door. To stay and love me is all that I ask. It’s just that simple; it’s not too great a task. As you walk out that door and out of my life, the pain that I feel, it cuts like a knife. I’d ask you to stay, but what good would that do; out of everything you’ve told me, none of it was true.
