MISERY

by Stephen - Taurus

The end of a friendship
The test of a bond
A relationship from the start of kids
Half my life just lost

The future is harsh
And the result crucial
It's hard to be apart
It's hard to be emotional

I lost my best friend
Half my life drifted away
But I'd do it all over again
Because of what the future has helped him gain

Somewhere across the world a great man stands
Tested by the ultimate test, he rings out his hands
Shouting at the top of his lungs, Victory!
I enjoy the vision from a distance in a small cell of misery
I miss my friend.......

Reason for writing:

My best friend just graduated from basic training and is now headed to Virginia for 3 years.
