Home is a town

by Gary Iveson - Aquarius

back to the hometown. Where it all began
Feel at home. Whatever takes place
Drugs, alcohol, violence & prostitution
It would still still feel like home
the furniture, the settings, the all around feeling of home
let the drinking be fearsome, relentless, easy coming
and easy going
A night to celebrate and generally not question ourselves
drink,stare and guffaw. This is the life
let it run free forever

Reason for writing:

    Having an evening out in the town I was born
Too much alcohol always spawns a feeling of "I am here and I don't care who you are". i don't know if the poem carries that off or not. Just having a good time
