The Day Inn- The sleepy days- Take another hour away- The Day Inn- Sun always shines- Sunglasses cover the eyes- The Day Inn- So tired and lazy- Couldn’t move- To any groove- The Day Inn- Rest assured- They always come around- To tuck you in- Today I slept awhile- Learned to eat in my sleep- The Hotel Girl- Said we’ve got it all- Food, gift shops, gambling- Water-skiing, Blues, Jazz- Dancing, cars- And some midnight love- The Day Inn- So I tuned myself out- Drank till I passed out- Found a feast in my fiction- And made love to a woman- I found my heaven- In my Day Inn-Birth sign: Libra
