For we shared a lot of laughter to runaway from our tears
We've spent our days together and traveled many a mile
And no matter where we went, you always brought a smile

One you tell your thoughts to and share your deepest fears
A person I could trust with all, and depend on to the end
A person that commands respect and whom I call my friend
How do you say good bye, to an old friend of many years ?
One with whom you worked, and stalked the woods for deer
The time has come to say good bye as you journey on your way
I pray that God will bless you and I'll see you soon someday
You'll always be a friend to me, no matter where we are
We'll just have to carry on my friend but do it from afar
Your a person I could trust with all, and depend on to the end
Your a person that I'll surely miss, and proud to call my friend
