Beach Snapshot

by Jasmine - Capricorn

Slate sky leans in,
Cumulous clouds massing like Van Gogh brushstrokes,
White cottonwool dipped in cement, thrown upon a sagging canvas.
His eyes are grey as pigeons backs, face pale as bone
It's seems an eternity since we've sat on these rocks
Blasted by seafoam and sour sand spray
And felt into each others hands with gentleness.
Watching in absorbed and open silence,
Whale white seagulls competing for fresh travally.

Reason for writing:

I felt like writing something short and simple yet full of emotion and meaning.I also have a real affinity with the beach.
