I wish I could just be
the perfect girl you want
the kind you see in magazines...
but, then, what about
me?
Makeup may hide physical flaws
but inside you may be
so imperfect, bruised and all
stumbling. and about to
fall.
And knee-high boots will only get you so far.
it wont matter when your older
how much dough you flash, what kind of car
that just wont matter at
all.
You stare at them, but just glance at me.
I feel so unimportant
Why couldnt I be
On the face of every magazine,
skinny and tall, everyone in awe of me,
But then again, Inside, theyd never see.
You'll never know the real
me.
