So Near Yet So Far I see you in front of me But yet you seem to be so far away I want to hold you again Even if it is for a day The phrase, "So near yet so far", Constantly applies each time I see you And each time I feel so darn tortured I wonder if you feel it too I am trying to be strong But I am dying inside Oh god, help me please I need a place to hide Sometimes I wish for life to be over So that my misery will end You are so near yet so far I hope you do understand... ...why I love you still
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem because it reflects exactly how I felt at that moment when I wrote it. I was in the library and my ex-boyfriend, whom I'm still in love with, came in and well, it all fits in I guess. He doesn't know about this poem nor about my feelings and I don't think he ever will.
