Wood stripped leaves.

by Phil Yarborough - Aquarius

Wood stripped leaves.

We all know you've got money,
You wave it in our face.
You like to tell us that you're struggling,
If you could only get a taste.
Your ship is solid silver,
Financial backing is your breeze,
There's no litter in your easy lake,
There's only wood stripped leaves.

Goodbye, I'll see ya later.
You won't see me at all.
Your thoughts are all second handed,
There's no way that you're gonna fall.

Your future's all one sided,
All your friends have killed your past.
You're sailing alone, standing underneath your
Solid, twenty foot mast.
Red wine is what you're sipping,
But you hold your glass alone.
You're proud you've done it your way,
We can see how much you've grown.

Goodbye, I'll let you get on,
Strain someone's brain and take the credit.
If your work was put in a novel,
We would have already read it.

You've forgot your roots and childhood,
You lost them at the age of five.
As we sink, sipping our last breath of air,
We know that you'll survive.
Productivity equals money,
I could spend that in a day.
A hole in my pocket, but a hole in your mind,
I've heard all that you ever say.

Goodbye, I'll take a walk now,
It'll cost me all I own.
You're laughing as I hit my head
I laugh as your cards are shown.
