summer of 2000: my meloncholy

by derek garner - Virgo

the raining waters came and tried to washed your
name from within my loins.
from upon my lips.
i sit sun-burnt, wet
in a desolate void that vacuums love.
my black hole.
my black shoes are tatered
having logged asphalt and sand in every direction.
I can't foresee my future with you,
all I know is you're out there.
I'll start my journey when it stops raining.

Reason for writing:

I loved someone who left unexpectedly
