falling in love?

by derek garner - Virgo

I tethered a lifeline to you once,
hoping for a tug.
you brandished scissors,
waved them like a child at play
were you happy.
I was the manhood you thought you sought
yet fought to bury.
incesant black woman.
Cut the string and let me fall
hurtling down to reality.
I brought my parachute
