Alone in the dark
Cold and Afraid
The person she wants to reach out to
Is the person she fears the most
He walks past her
Knowing her fear
Her fear grows until she is no longer afraid
The fear now turns to rage
Rage and hatred
She lashes out
She feels her words hit him with such force
That he is taken aback
Every word she says, a knife blade
Sharp and jabbing into his chest
She stops talking and the fear is gone
The rage has gone and the anger released
She sees in his eyes the fear she felt before
In his eyes she was now changed
An image never to be seen the same way again
And in her eyes, he too was changed and no longer feared
