Cursed by the Heavens

by Danielle-Kelli - Aries

Precious than words, you sit by side.
Through laughter and fears, you consoled my tears.
Respected by all, cursed by the Heavens
Through sun and hail, only memory hangs by a nail.
Hopeful aspirations, not enough time
Tear after tear, YOU never had a fear.
Loved by all and loved by myself
You were a part of me, that alone, everyone could see.
Family of five-mother, father, sister, and son
Now one short, it was all made wrong.
Respected by all, cursed by the Heavens
I curl into a ball and gaze at memory pinned to a wall.
Loved by all, missed by me
Now one short, why does it have to be?
