I Told You So

by Anthony M. Takach - Aquarius

There so long ago. We shared the same beliefs.
I knew deep inside that everything would end up okay.
Never could've guessed that the sky would turn up so
gray...so gray...so gray...so gray.

I told you so, that this would come to a hault.
I told you the reason why we did what we did that night.
We shouldn't fight. But the temptation was horrible, and
the anger was troublesome, I just cannot seem to breathe
your scent into my heart anymore...you let me go. You unhook me, you just lay me to rest in this field of flowers, watch me bloom, the powers! You know Im weak. You
I seek...you. Yes you! You. Yes, you...I told you so.

The nights are so hard. I lay in bed and cry. The tears
run down the sheets in streams, I cannot, I will not, I shall not let this consume my soul. You and me were whole!
The nights are so hard. I lay in bed and cry. The tears run down the sheets in streams, I can still hear your screams...I told you so. Unhappiness will unfold. Joy will
mold, into...something new. And there we were, saying we were through! And I threw away everything that you wrote me...oh God why...

I told you so, I told you so. Your heart is still gold. I told you so, I told you so. Your heart is still gold. It is. So golden. It is! So golden yeah, it is tonight...let it shine...

"Those beautiful, sparkling blue eyes reflect the moonlight that shimmers into your long blonde hair. It just flows there, behind your rear, I can't help but look. Now your opened like a book! My mind, my brain, the pain, my heart, the world, the anxiety, all of it is circled around you! Yes you. You! Yes you baby, I told you so."

Reason for writing:

Will there ever be another like her?
