I know I've done you wrong in the past, And that you think I'm moving to fast, But I'm just trying my best, I want you to know that I'm better than the rest, You always compare me to the others, Why can't you love and support me like any other mother, You know I love you with all my heart, And I would go crazy if we ever part, Please don't ever leave me in this world by myself, Because there is no one else who would help, Whenever I fall down your always there, To show me how much you love and care, I know that I've let you down, God's probably looking down at me with a frown, I'm going to prove to you that I am smart, And that all the things I do is not to break your heart, But before one of us dies I want you to know, I love you even though sometimes I don't let it show.
Reason for writing:
I have broken my mother's heart plenty of times as a teenager,and I just wanted to let her know that what I was doing was not to hurt her. I also wanted her to know that I love her and I'm trying my best to make her proud.
