Tomorrow

by Elizabeth Lawson - Capricorn

If I lose my way,
Will you find me tonight?
If disaster is my play?
will you cherish me tonight?

If love breaks all ties,
Will you comfort me tonight?
If my life turns into lies,
Will you disbelieve me tonight?

If my mind begins to clear,
Will you produce an obstacle tonight?
If death is what I fear,
Will it drift through me tonight?

If time itself stands still,
Will we all dissapear tonight?
If a prowler steals my will,
Will you find it returned tonight?

If my enemy is you,
Will you make it clear tonight?
If I feel my life is through,
Will you make it okay tonight?

If your words strike me like a cane,
Will you apoligise tonight?
If a limb of mine is wilt and lame,
Will you find me another tonight?

If you strike me with your arm,
Will you regret it tonight?
If I am kept free from harm,
Will you keep it right tonight?

If my heart is seen through my eyes,
Will you not look tonight?
If it is me who I despise,
Why am I here tonight?

Reason for writing:

I was feeling relatively angry with myself in one of my exams yesterday so I thought if I had time I might write a poem so I did. Thanks for reading, Liz
