Understand the word "Nigger" Doesn't belong in my dictionary It's a must you comprehend That is very necessary I see that you and your boys love that word But for me, I think it's absurd You see I know what it's like to have someone call me that He wasn't saying because I'm ignorant He was saying because I'm black I fought many a day to let them know that's not how I roll Respect is the key at least that's what I was told Brothers and sisters have struggled on that road We are fighting a hard battle and have a long ways to go You don't hear them calling each other "cracker" Really look who the war is going after Brothers killing brothers is helping them Obviously your light is on very dim All I ask of you is to see what I see Speak what's on your mind intelligently Remember there's a struggle on that road We are fighting a hard battle and have a long ways to go.
Reason for writing:
Oneday I was coming from class and kept hearing these young black men saying "nigger" this and that and it really irked me, so I wrote about it.
