I told you I'd be there for you, I've always said I will. But yet you don't believe me, and I will be there still. The day you told me that you don't need anyone, I thought our tightly wrapped friendship was slowly coming undone. I don't think you meant to hurt me, not purposely anyway But it's your turn to make the next move, coz I don't know what to say. I said I don't think you mean that, and maybe I was wrong. But coming from such a great friend, it seemed like it didn't belong. I know things lately have been tough, and maybe my frienship just wasn't enough. I'll still give you all my strength and love to help ease your pain in hope of seeing your smile and your happiness again. I know in the end everything will be alright, I just want you to keep in mind what I told you tonight. It may seem like a trivial promise, but what I said is true. Because I would do anything...for a friend like you.
Reason for writing:
My very good friend and I were talking and he is having a hard time with something, and I told him I'm always there for him and he said he doesn't need anyone. I told him I didn't believe he meant that he never replied back. So I'll have to wait and see what happens the next time we talk.
