I raised my voice
To a silent whisper
You heard my plea 
In the darkness of night

I tried to hide 
Behind a mask of pain and sorrow
But you discovered 
The beauty within

I bargained myself
For a glimpse of sunshine
You handed me 
The moon and the stars

I longed for
One more day of peace
You opened my soul
And gave me eternity
