A question, what reason to carry on?

by Robert Jerome - Sagittarius

Walking down the road I chose,
to live my life the way I do,
sometimes I wonder if I knew.
The pain and suffering endured,
when you refuse to conform,
and act as others perform.

The burden I bear isn't one to be seen,
instead it is inside, made of truth and honesty.
The task on which your path is set,
which twist and turn of character has it?
Will your remain in the world's memory,
when you have faded into dust?
Or will instead you leave behind no legacy,
no achievment or record of your test?

The questions come so fast I can't
quite process all of them.
Can you tell me an answer, please,
to even a single one?
Perhaps even the most perplexing quandry
will fail to confound your perception,
so answer this if indeed you can,
What's your reason to carry on?

Reason for writing:

I haven't found the answer to my own question yet, I just know I'm not yet ready for it to end.
