Long Gone

by FireFly - Libra

It’s along way from home-

The third eye-
Summons you for the flight-
As you sleep and the blanket of darkness-
Soothes you thru the night-

The burden on your shoulders-
You feel the universes weightlessness-
As it asks you to untether-
The silver chord from your soul’s core-
Let go-

Sail the friendly skies-
Wings spread from one world to the next-
The feathers plucked from each home-
You knew, loved, and sailed thru-
Your history gives lift and stability-
Sustains and provides thru the uncertainty-

It’s a long way from home-

But my oh my-
Feels good to be long gone-
