Bitter Sweet

by Elizabeth Lawson - Capricorn

Repulsive you are, black morbid trail,
Repelling even the hardest of stomachs,
You cause small children to cry and wail,
Enough to fill ten miniature lakes.

You may be aromatic but vulgar in taste,
Appealing to more than one,
A person may in fact want you to waste,
Such a delicacy as sweet as the sun.

Wickedly waiting to tear you apart,
Through eating and breathing your goodness,
The touch of your surface brings disgust to the heart,
And makes me enjoy you less.
