It’s Only Me

by Sawa7 - Aries

In the midnight hours,
I come among the guest
In those dark hours,
My heart would not rest
Looking for your name
Checking all who came
I say god please let it be
No it’s not you,
Again alone, none with me but me

I remember the way we talked
I remember the way we joked
I would smile and feel a tear
Coming down as you’re not here

What wrong have we done?
What sin made us lose our fun?
We fought, so what? Lovers always fight
We argued, so what? We may both be right
I wonder if the same feelings crossed your heart
I wonder if all of this, like me, shredded you a part
If not then all that we shared was just a lie?
Connection would turn off and feelings would die

No more would I come as a guest
No more my heart would not rest
No more checking who came
No more looking for your name
No more tears for you would be spilled
My heart is a stone; my soul is killed
Enjoy your life as you meant it to be
There is no more us; it's only me.
