i have made lots of promises that i could not keep but i know better now i don't say a word but you know that i am going to be there. even when they wanted to toss me out i thought of you when i came back and i wasn't leaving until it was time i lasted a while and even thought you were the one but it turned out not to be the case even as i waited for you to stop being angry and sad i never gave up on our being friends i promised the world, but here's one promise ill never take back: because you are my friend, ill always be there that's my promise

this is for my friends who didn't turn on me the way my family did when i told them i was gay. also for those who stuck by me and proved they were my friends
