If I want true love?

by Robert Jerome - Sagittarius

I see the people all around me
the lovers and couples so happy
but for some reason love eludes me
I don't know why, it just happens to.
Light shines all around me
yet I stand in shadow still
my heart is crying for what isn't
yet I don't want to do something I'll rue.

Can you show me where to look for love?
'Cause I've been trying to find that one person.
Can you tell me what I need to do?
If I want it to be true?

And if I want true love?
Can you help me out?
Can you lift me up?
Make me want to shout?
I want to know, so badly
please, can you help me?

Reason for writing:

I have seen too many of my friends and family marry someone they don't truly love. I don't want to follow them. It just gets frustrating sometimes.
